It's getting closer!!

Halloween is coming! It's almost here!!!

I really love this Disney villain mask wreath. I have probably already shared it on here before but oh well. It pretty much rocks!

Because I work in a library, I came across some neat-o pumpkin ideas in some of our magazines!

They painted this pumpkin pink (hard to tell in the pic I took) and glued flowers around it. So beautiful. I love it so much! I just ordered a flower crown to wear for some pics and this reminds me of that.

They used white acrylic paint to paint these pumpkins and then black to make a wood grain design, spider web design and to paint a giant bug! You could also use decals or rub on stickers found in the scrapbooking section. I know Martha Stewart usually puts out some pretty creepy ones this time of year at Michael's Craft Stores!

Here's another take on the wood grain look. They used a linoleum cutter (you can use an Xacto knife, too) to carve the wood grain look into this pumpkin.

They snipped the ends of opaque balloons and attached them to the bottom halves of these pumpkins.

From craftymorning.com, they used tomato cages, white fabric, lights and plastic pumpkin buckets to make these little ghouls!

I have a dream pumpkin! Our local grocery store has them for almost $60 (insert crazy face here) but I still like to look at them.

Check out this silly Kermit drinking tea costume:

If you don't understand the joke, he's a popular meme on the internet. Like this:
Well, enough Halloween posting for now. I'm taking my zombie cookies and getting outta here!

FallING for Fall

Fall in upon us! Yes. So ready for cooler weather. I am ready to wear my favorite cowgirl boots. And my soft jeans. I am mainly excited to be able to walk outside without sweating or being tortured by bugs!! I did try a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. Y'all know about how I feel about pumpkin spice. I tried very hard to like it, but I ended up calling it a Pumpkin Spice Crappe (no offense to those that love it). I just have trouble getting excited about coffee. I think I am the only person on the planet that really does not drink it. But I am probably an alien since I am not a fan of chocolate, either.

We have been busy hanging out at the fair.

This was a large fried gummy bear my son ate. I snuck a bite and it tasted like a pie, surprisingly.
We went to Cloud City to walk inside the installation art exhibit.

This is probably the first year we have taken forever to decorate for Halloween (yes, I know it is still September!). I plan on remedying that this weekend. Already got my boxes out of the garage!  We usually do inside in September, and then do the outside stuff near the first of October. We are just big Halloweeners.

I do have my front door wreath out. Check it!

We got some inflatable eyes to put on the outside of our house. I need to find my fishing string for them. My son is really into skeletons that are not creepy but more comical. So now we own a skeleton in a tux, of all things!
I very badly need to start working on my little scarecrow, Harrison's costume. We found a large crow to sew onto his straw hat. I bought him a flannel shirt while thrifting and I plan to cut little patches to sew onto it. And we will use yarn instead of hay to line the sleeves and the hat and stuff. He has pretty sensitive skin like his mama and hay irritates it. I have to say my favorite costume ever of his was one he put together himself--the year he was a mad scientist! He was adorable.

I made a little tutu to wear almost like the one in this picture, so I can be a scaregirl (I guess that is a scarecrow girl lol).

See? This is how mine turned out.

I'm very obsessed with tutu costumes. If we had a little girl in this family, there would be a closet full of 'em!

I am slowly working on my Snow White costume. Oh my gosh! Check out my poison apple for it. I am not sure if I will make it into a necklace or something because I want it to be alongside my costume but not something I have to hold all day since I will be wearing it at the library.

I want to share all the awesome Fall/Halloween finds and ideas I have seen lately online...
If you don't feel like carving pumpkins, spray paint 'em! Look at these cool candy corn designs.

Or spray paint leaves and glue them onto your pumpkins!

Make a photo pumpkin! Really you could decoupage anything on them.

I love this villain wreath idea!

This crazy cat lady costume is the bestest! My mom was this one year (hi, mom!).

Harrison and I are so making some yarn pumpkins soon!

Look at this super cool Mac 'N Cheese costume!!! His mom made it out of a laundry basket and paper towel rolls. Creative!

And you know it's Fall when this happens to you...

Pumpkin Farts

I love FALL. I love pumpkin but I detest the million pumpkin pics/status updates on everything pumpkin. I mean you can get pumpkin year-round ya know? And real pumpkin smells like fart. Maybe I am just being a dumpy grumpy. I do have a little Fall spirit-or my nails do anyway! Let's get to those Friday Funnies and may you enjoy your pumpkin fart latte.

And PUMPKIN FARTS
