I have to say thank you to a wonderful person! Her name is Barbie and her blog is
She makes awesome digital kits. This year Harrison wanted a Toy Story party for his 4th birthday (Dec.28). I had the hardest time finding Toy Story digital kits--didn't find any--to make his invites with. I emailed her and this super lady emailed me back with a
4Shared link within an hour or two and she is working on a Toy Story mega kit! All out of the kindness of her heart. Some people are so awesome! If you download anything please leave her a positive comment. :)
This weekend I finished up my creations for ScrapCity and we reveal them Monday. I also made an easy peasy ornament!!!
It took 5 minutes to make! Wanna make one of your own? The tutorial is HERE.
Let's talk about Santa.
Photobucket has a section called "Scared of Santa."
These photos all resemble the 2005-2007 pictures with Santa we have of Harrison!
This mom HERE blogs about her experience with quads!
Poor kiddos! Poor Santas--they look scared!
Speaking of scary Santas, technology now makes it able to chat with Santa, but after some online friends tested it out, we figured out this Santa is not really the best to chat with kids. He told me to take pills and he asked another mom what she was wearing!! Well, he is good for a laugh because I really was laughing when he and I were talking about Tom Cruise going to Stepford to get a Katie bot. :)
So chat with him at your own risk LOL by clicking here!

happy holidays or hannukah Pictures, Images and Photos
I am eating up this season! I think Christmas is by far my favorite.
We bust out the Christmas dvds and cds. I love the fireplace on tv dvd we have!
I love the snow! We had our first snowfall today!!! Yay! It did not stick...and it all melted before I could photograph it.
Today I was at the dentist again. I swear I have been seeing Dr. Bun Baker {real name btw} more than I have seen my dh lately! I got fitted for a crown and now have my plastic crown in. I am craving gum sooooo bad!! Why is the forbidden stuff always the most tempting??
In 4 hours exactly I will be getting my flu shot. I guess I am all about having my body ache this week...

The ScrapCity forum is finally up and working after my snafu. We have a digi dt call going on right now.
This book was a great library find--Holiday Lights by David Seidman.
I really like these two ideas:

Putting lights in clear jars...pretty!
Hanging strands like a spider web.
Tonight H and I sat down and wrote his letter to Santa. We cheated and used pre-printed stationary from Michael's Craft Store.
Here is Harrison's letter to Santa:
I really adore the envelope,too!
I can't believe it had several sheets/envelopes for $1!
Tomorrow Harrison and I are going to the post office to mail his Santa letter. I found a neat site that has Santa email you back!!!

Thank you Renee (MnMommy2) for sharing these links with me:

Holiday Mayhem

Blog, how I've missed you!!!
Harrison has come down with the stomach flu. Poor darling. I've been giving him lots of clear liquids and snuggles. He wriggled next to me in the bed today and said, "Look, mom! We're snuggling!!"
Housework has piled up this weekend! I have plenty of time to do it-to it because we are going to be snowed in on Tuesday. I have been wanting it to snow sooooo badly!!!
Friday night I was changing stuff over at to make it more festive and urm, make the site go down. Thank God for the kindness of strangers (A Streetcar Named Desire, anyone? I love that movie!). I found someone on the phBB help forum named James and he brought the forum skeleton back. I've been putting everything back where it belongs. Thank you James! I also got the blog looking festive:
In scrappy world, have you seen Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas?? You have to check out the tag for today!! He made an amazing crackled snowman. He is just so inspiring to me!
There is a weekend crop going on at Scrap4Life. I was hoping to be more involved and get challenges done but with H being sick my plans are on the back burner for now.
I made our own Christmas photo cards this year. I am surprised with the results! They came out cute. See?

I also finished our Christmas letter (printed on Basic Grey) and cards (totally store bought--no time to make). I hope to get it all mailed out this week!

I just love the Holidays. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?? My favorite memory has to be the year my mom was trying to be sneaky and she hid our presents in the dryer. Later, she asked me to move the clothes to the dryer. I also have really good memories of baking tons of different cookies together and making tamales. Sigh. I have been making a cookie list (don't judge LOL) of cookies we are going to make together as a family. I got some ideas from Paula Deen's Cookie show last night. You can see her recipes HERE.

Well, that's all for now. I have cleaning to do! :) Have a super Sunday!

Tim Holtz--Genius!!!

This man never ceases to amaze me. Seriously.
To get familiar with Tim go to his blog HERE.
So I seriously love all his stuff. I own a couple of distress inks.
On 2 Peas and ScrapCity members were wondering how to recreate tag/day #2 without maybe spending too much (it is Christmas, ya know...).
I have a recipe for making your own alcohol ink (nope, its not for drinking).
Baby food jar
l pack Rit dye
Rubbing alcohol
Put dye in the jar, add alcohol to the top of the jar. Shake well.

I got it a very long time so I cannot recall the source.

Mellow Yellow

So are you into colors? Wondering what next year's hot color will be??
According to a Yahoo article it will be....

Yellow expected as a bright spot for 2009
By SAMANTHA CRITCHELL, AP Fashion Writer Samantha Critchell, Ap Fashion Writer Wed Dec 3, 1:34 pm ET
NEW YORK – Enough gloom and doom: There's a prediction from a leading color source that cheerful and sunny yellow will be the influential color of 2009.
Pantone, which provides color standards to design industries, specifically cites "mimosa," a vibrant shade of yellow illustrated by the flowers of some mimosa trees as well as the brunch-favorite cocktail, as its top shade of the new year. In general, Pantone expects the public to embrace many tones of optimistic yellow.
"I think it's just the most wonderful symbolic color of the future," says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "It's invariably connected to warmth, sunshine and cheer — all the good things we're in dire need of right now."
In the spring fashion collections previewed earlier in the fall for retailers and editors, pops of yellow brightened the runways of Carolina Herrera — who called her favorite shade marigold — Badgley Mischka, Zac Posen and Michael Kors, among others. Kors even included a retro yellow polka-dot bikini that clearly harkened back to a more upbeat time.
The fashion world first embraced orange a few years ago and that has evolved into yellow, which had already been gaining popularity in the home market, too.
"People know yellow lightens up the atmosphere," Eiseman says.
Home-goods companies based in Paris and Milan, Italy, have already been heavily influenced by yellow, says Tom Mirabile, vice president of global trends and design at Lifetime Brands, Inc., whose portfolio includes Cuisinart, Farberware and Pfaltzgraff.
It helps that it looks good in florals and has a close association with nature, a driving force in the marketplace right now, and it complements current favorites green and purple. (In 2008, "blue iris," a purple-tinged blue, was color of the year.)
"I'd say you should get used to seeing yellow in places you're not used to seeing it," Eiseman says.

December already?!?

I'm back! I cannot believe it is already December. This year seriously wooshed by! And H is turning 4 at the end of the month...I want him to stay
I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving. We had turkey and ham. My mom made the ham and I ate it for like 3 days afterwards. Love it!!
I finally saw this movie. I felt a little weird being 31 and being so involved in a tween series of books but the movie rocked!! I am so buying it when it comes out on dvd.
Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping?? I personally felt like the ads were so uninspiring to me. We did go to Target a few hours after they opened. We bought some playdoh and dvds. I got Juno, The Goonies, Indiana Jones. Then we did more shopping on They have amazing, amazing deals. We saved $200!! All our Christmas shopping is done.
I got one Christmas gift early! An Apple Ipod. Now I finally feel like I am in the 21st century LOL. We've been eyeing laptops. It really isn't a big deal to me if we get one or not because then I will probably just never leave the couch. I should get one hooked up to a treadmill!I don't think I am getting anything scrap-related for Christmas.
Today Harrison's grandparents took him to shop for clothes at the mall. We had watched the movie Elf twice over the weekend. You know the scene where he is hesitant to get on the escalator?? Harrison kept trying to imitate it.
Church photo.
We took Harrison to see Santa. We take him every year but I am so happy because this is the first year he is not crying and desperately trying to run away in the photo.
He told Santa he wanted a Bat(man) Cave.
I finally took him to North Pole City.
NPC is a Christmas store that sells breathtaking and over-priced ornaments. We love to oogle the lights. I always let H get an ornament there. He also picked out a nutcracker and a rock wall for his Thomas trains.
Oh, and he rode the train 3 times! He kept begging to ride and since it was only $1 I let him. The only slightly annoying part was that I had to go to a front register to purchase a ticket. The lines were soooo long!
The train tunnel.
Usually Santa is there but he was not that day. :(
We put up our own lights...
Ben is such a hard worker. :)
We usually adopt a tree at a local park and decorate it but this year the city nixed the program.
And we also saw a local light display in Yukon.
So that is what I have been up to these past few days.
This is totally random. Can anyone identify this duck? He is hanging out at our local pond and I have never seen one look so odd.
