Happy Wednesday

Watching spooky movies with my love. I love it when the air outside has that Fall crispness to it. Our house smells like cinnamon thanks to my cinnamon brooms. This is my favorite time of year and my favorite place to be. Soon we will be making our way to SE Oklahoma where the leaf changes are so amazing and vibrant. I cannot wait!

I collect Hispanic Barbies. I am hoping to get this one from my Santa for Christmas. It is the "Dia de los Muertos" Barbie.
I have some crafts to make this weekend--
dinosaurs in tutus with lipstick

fairy skeletons (one for my mama)
 and this Elf wreath.

I was in my element this past weekend. My husband took me to
see the Hello Kitty Cafe when it was at our local mall. I got so many cute things!!!

Que Sera Sera

Hi mom! My only blog reader!
When I was younger, my mom would sing the Doris Day song "Que Sera Sera" to me when I would worry or have social anxiety. The main phrase is "what will be will be...the future's not ours to see."
I don't know what exactly my future holds but I know LIFE IS GOOD. Good things are happening.
I have been doing much research and writing lately. I have been making an effort to explore my local environment more. I have just been...happier. I still find myself procrastinating when it comes to housework or I feel like my brain has a million tabs open and so many things I just want to do at once, but I am so grateful for happiness and happy things. LIFE IS GOOD!

DIY Spa Night

See this? It is an empty bookmark holder. I have refilled it three times with llama bookmarks to go with the back-to-school llama theme I have in the teen space. So if you want to make popular bookmarks go with llamas!!

I also put out a BTS (the music group) word search, some really challenging mazes and de-stressing coloring sheets for the teens. The response has been great. I am always proud when I can get them away from their phones for a minute.

To celebrate back-to-school, I had a good program called DIY Spa Night. It was two hours long, and the attendance was 57 teens. Thankfully, I overestimate supplies when I think a program will be popular. Sharing some photos from the program:

My flyer to promote it.

Making bath bombs

This was the edible scented lip gloss and bath body scrub area.

The secret to the lip gloss is various Kool-Aid type flavors and Vaseline with a little sugar to boot.

Scented bath salts. They smelled amazing.

Painting their own squishies to de-stress.

Chalking hair.

We have Talk Like a Pirate Day coming up and our library celebrates it every year. Check out our Adult Librarian, Phil's amazing display.

Library staff became pirates!

Argh! That's me in the middle!

Check out my new unicorn eyeglasses. I love them.

Have a great day! I have much to get done today since it is my day off. My home office definitely needs organization! Wish me luck!
