Life Hacks?

I am not so sure "Life Hacks" are even called "Life Hacks" anymore or if the term has been overused. How about "Life Tips" (TM TwinkleTeaches)? Here's some Life Tips!!!

They put floral contact paper on the side of dresser drawers. Genius.

Now for healthy juice recipes to make up for the bacon one...

This dough/pizza pun would make a great gift for a new graduate or college student.

Ohhhh! Paint those plastic flamingos gold and you have instant chic.

I will test these out when we catch cold this Winter...

I am going to try to make this moon sand recipe. I think it would be great for a sensory activity.

Make your own shower cleaner.

Or try this homemade spray in your garden! From The Thrifty Couple.

I may try this with *ONE* Bounce sheet, but I feel like if I covered ALL of my fan with them that would interrupt the air flow. We will see!

I am so not a doctor, so take this with a literal pinch of salt.

Legos. The enemy of my feet. I like how this family used disposable plastic containers to sort them. One day, I may become brave enough to do this with Harrison's Legos.

Wow! Someone found a coffee table at the curb and refurbished it to make a Lego table! Idea from Domestic Inspiration.

I have not tried this yet, but it does look pretty.

Mmmmm Wendy's Frosty-like recipe!

The following ideas show you how to hide money or valuables in your home or while on vacation.

You could wrap them in an unused diaper.

Hide them in an empty jar that is made to look full using a tp roll and legumes. As seen on Bored Panda.

And this idea takes more work, but you could install a secret drawer under your windows. I am all about more storage solutions!

Website Evaluations

Website evaluation and checking sources is something so important to teach students in order for them to be able to effectively write research papers or reports. The ultimate goal of research and of online searching, is in the assistance of users in finding the information that they desire. Although the results are always subjective to the opinion of the user, the results affect the user's critical thinking skills. A user must evaluate if the information retrieved is useful. And there is an interaction between the user and the system that takes place--an exchange. As educators, we must teach our students how to discern what information is reliable and accurate.

Father's Day Fun!

Father’s Day is coming up soon.

I have found some fun and easy art and craft ideas on the web. I wanted to share some with you.

This is a neat handprint card from A Little Pinch of Perfect, giving dad a high five.

Thirty Handmade Days has you hooked up with printables for Father’s Day. There are also printable cards and tags for Father's Day gifts.

I Am Momma Hear Me Roar has a really neat technique I have never seen before using freezer paper to create art you can then put onto a tshirt for dad or grandpa. I really want to try this one!

Hearts Arts N Crafts blog has instructions on making a Sharpie art mug for Father's Day. My own husband loves coffee so this would be a hit with him.

So many ideasI hope you find one that works for you. Happy crafting!
